Words from Katie:

This body of work has held my heart for a while.

Shared Horizons explores what it means to be connected — to a person, to a moment, to a memory.

Each pair of artworks were created together. Thick layers of acrylic moved between canvases, horizons aligning almost instinctively. Once framed there is a gap between them — but the landscape and connection refuses to break.

They are sold as pairs, but what happens next is yours to decide. You may hang them together, or share one with someone who holds meaning in your life.

Even apart, they remain connected.

The exploration of art connecting people is a concept that feels important to me and I have loved creating these connected landscapes.

ABOUT KATIE:

Hi I am an artist from Sydney , New South Wales. Raised here near the local Blue Mountains means the natural beauty surrounding me each day has been a constant source of inspiration. Drawing from the landscapes I get to see everyday , I have found a real love of using texture and acrylic paints to create stunning works of art that capture the essence of the mountains and dreamy skies.

Working with a range of mediums I constantly aim to creare pieces that are both unique and captivating. Each piece is a reflection of the deep connection to nature and the environment. I feel a sense of pure happiness when I am painting a stunning sunset sky. The use of texture in the works adds a three-dimensional quality that brings the scenes to life.

I am quickly learning I seem to have a passion for the mountains, skies and sunsets and this is currently shining through in every piece. I always aim to bring a sense of wonder and awe.

As an emerging artist I am focusing on painting what brings me joy and happiness , in turn bringing joy and happiness to others via my pieces . I am finding immense passion with each new artwork I create, enjoying each step of the creative process and exploring my love of texture and colour.
