ABOUT RACHEL:
Colour, movement, patterns, memory, connection are captured in Rachel Rae’s coastal themed paintings. Rachel invites the viewer to connect with the landscape and philosophise about the rhythm of life. Whilst painting the landscapes Rachel also becomes immersed, reflecting during the process too. Awestruck by the colours of the Australian landscape – the rainbow of coloured rocks, the patterns of the water, Rachel transports the viewer through the depth of colour, the perspective and the movement of the brushstrokes to these moments in time. Feel the breeze, smell the salty ocean, hear the waves and dive right in.
Rachel was born in Melbourne but now resides in Sydney with her family. She is a self taught artist who has had work exhibited with Art Lovers Gallery, Art to Art, Aspire Gallery, Northern Beaches Art Gallery and at The Other Art Fair. Her recent projects include sharing her knowledge with painting demonstrations of her process. Rachel has been a finalist in the Art to Art Unearthed, Waverley 9 x 5 and Lethbridge Gallery Landscape and 20000 Art Prizes. Home Beautiful Magazine and Bluethumb Art listed Rachel as an Australian Artist to watch. Rachel’s bright energetic coastal artworks embody the quintessential Australian Lifestyle and are held in private collections in Australia and Internationally.
